Milan Design Week 2025
In the face of the growing commercialization of Milan Design Week, a new exhibition emerges with the aim of restoring the true spirit of creativity and experimentation that once defined this iconic event. Organized by Sade Linda Ekwedike and Gabriel Bianchi at the Mulino Factory Foundation, the exhibition seeks to provide a platform for emerging designers and young creatives who feel excluded from the mainstream design landscape.
Milan Design Week has long been an essential space for creative exchange and innovation. However, over time, it has transformed into a marketplace where visibility is dictated by budget rather than the value of the work itself. As design students and young designers, the organizers are driven by the need to reclaim the opportunities that the city no longer offers. This exhibition is the response to the lack of space for young voices, creating a space where creativity is free from commercial pressures and experimentation is encouraged.
57 artists and designer under 35, from all around the world, were seletced to partecipate the exibithion. More than 300 attended the vernissage.
